Leaving the Comfort Zone
"I took a step and with new strength I'd never felt before,
I kissed my comfort zone goodbye,
and closed and locked the door."
It is up to us to keep up the good fight. There will be good days and bad days. Easy days and tough days with victories and defeats in each one of those days. The tricky thing is that in those fear-filled miserable times, we often tend to want to stay in what we deem as our 'comfort zone,' rather than venture out into the unknown or do what we anticipate as dangerous, or that will cause us anxiety and more fear. When in fact, doing so will liberate us from our distorted prisons. The OCD bully can really confuse us with that one. But now we know better, don't we?
With some knowledge and encouragement, we can learn to be more comfortable with risk and therefore freer from the confines of obsessive fear that can enter into each of our lives.
