Gaga, Sara Bareillis, Oprah...Had Anxiety Challenges Too.

Let us not belittle ourselves for having OCD, panic attacks, anxiety, fears, depression or other disorders...we are not alone and we can move on despite the challenges they present.
There are countless gifted performers, writers, artists, crafts people, politicians, and inventors, who have/ or have had, struggles with OCD and/or anxiety and other issues all their lives. But they didn't let it stop them from using the gifts and talents they had to benefit the world and others.
It doesn't matter if we feel 'different' from the majority (in any way at all.) In fact, it's refreshing to be different from the rest. To walk to the beat of your own drum, or in a sense, to the beat you are being called to.
OCD is no different from other kinds of challenges, meaning, it can bring us down at times and we have to get back up.
Here are some accomplished people who have had to overcome obstacles and ongoing feelings about it...

Lady Gaga - Singer/performer, admitted to kicking a past eating disorder that she says plagued her. In being open about her depression and eating disorder struggles, the pop star places herself among the 1 in approximately 10 Americans who also struggle with depression. She's also been known to suffer from stage fright.
Sara Bareillis - singer/songwriter, overcame being bullied in school and went out to become a very successful singer, songwriter. She says: “I grew up a fat girl,” Sara recalled. “I had to change schools at one point because the kids were so mean to me. I still often feel I just don’t want anyone to notice anything about me.”
Oprah Winfrey:  While Oprah still battles anxiety today; it's something that has affected her throughout her entire life. She revealed that when she was a child she was sexually abused. The abuse she suffered happened for several years, which really took a toll on her mental and physical health. This experience changed the way she looked at her life and she was never the same after it. She used her fears and anxieties to push herself to where she is today.
